About Us
Prof. Dr. F.J. Schweigert established the University of Potsdam spin-off BioAnalyt in 1999 to offer analytical services. It rapidly became clear during a study in Laos that the real difficulty was not in the analysis but rather in transporting the samples from Laos to Potsdam, Germany. The concept of bringing the lab to the sample was born out of the necessity to reduce the distance between the sample and analysis. Thus, the first portable lab's construction started in 2006. The team grew to 20 members in 2017 and has clients in more than 80 nations.
